A Mover is anyone planning or going through a relocation to a new city or country. You might be moving next month or just starting to think about it. You might be moving alone, with a partner, with a family, or for work. Whatever stage you are at, a Mover is simply someone who wants real, local input before they go.
How it works
Movers browse Local Experts by destination, read profiles and reviews, and book paid one-to-one video sessions on the topics that matter to them. A session might cover where to live, how to open a bank account, what the job market is really like, or how the school system works. It is practical, personalised guidance from someone who has already done what you are about to do.
More than sessions
Movers can also opt in to Relocation Buddy, a free feature that connects you with other people planning to move to the same destination, so you can share the experience rather than going through it alone.
Your role on Relocate Bridge
Your role on Relocate Bridge is fixed at sign-up. If you join as a Mover, you stay a Mover. If you later want to become a Local Expert, you would need to delete your profile and sign up again.
Official Partners
We are building a directory of established organisations that provide professional relocation services, including immigration advisers, tax specialists, and moving companies. We add partners carefully, choosing organisations with a proven track record, and we keep the directory updated over time. If a session with a Local Expert points you toward a need for formal, professional help, the Official Partners section is a good place to look for providers that suit your situation.
Safety and risk
Relocate Bridge connects people. We facilitate the introduction and handle payment for booked sessions, but the interaction itself is between you and the other person, and you take part at your own risk. Sessions are informational and based on personal experience. They are not a substitute for professional legal, financial, tax, immigration, or medical advice. If your situation calls for formal advice, please consult a qualified professional. If you ever have a concern about a session or another user, you can report it through our Resolution Centre or the Report a Concern option on a profile.
